This book covers areas of Cradle Mountain - Lake St Clair and Walls of Jerusalem national parks, keystones to the Tasmania Wilderness World Heritage Area.  Within this book will be found detailed track notes and information to all the popular route, including daywalks and some lesser known walking routes into remote country.  Track notes included cover; The Overland Track, Pine Valley, Walls of Jerusalem and Black Bluff Range.  The authors have also included information on climate and vegetation, food, safety and suggestions for the type of equipment that will be required for the area.

 The Authors

John Chapman and John Siseman have a wealth of experience in the Australian bush.  Together they have amassed over 60 years of experience walking in Tasmania.

John Chapman, originally an engineer, worked for many years in bushwalking gear shops before turning to a career in computer science.  He has worked as a professional guide in Tasmania, Nepal and India.  He is also a regular contributor to Wild magazine and co-authored two books for Lonely Planet.  He regularly ventures into the Tasmania wilderness to revisit routes and explore new areas.

John Siseman commenced his forays in the Victorian alps and the Tasmania wilderness soon after his arrival from London in 1959.  John is a professional guide in Nepal and India and currently works in a bushwalking gear shop.  He has travelled extensively in all parts of Australia and is author of a variety of other walking guides to Victoria, the most well known being the ‘Alpine Walking Track’.
